ABOUT SOUNDSTAGE
Soundstage is based at WMNF 88.5 FM in Tampa, FL. We've been creating award-winning contemporary audio theatre since 1998.
Check out our Shows page for a (mostly) complete list of Soundstage productions. Check out our Store to take some home with you!
We create half-hour comedies and dramas, short serials and vignettes, and special programs such as the Dr. Suess Special for Read Across America Day. Members of Soundstage are affiliated with the National Audio Theatre Festivals and the Association of Independents in Radio, and I think some of us are members of acting guilds but we try not to make a big deal about it because we're mostly paid in inexpensive chocolates.
Regular members of our acting troupe include professional film and stage actors, theatre professors, filmmakers, musicians, artists, security personnel, and people who would like to become security personnel but are having trouble with the entrance exam.
Guest stars include David Ossman of the Firesign Theatre, Second City founding member Dick Schaal, Tampa Poet Laureate James Tokely, and poet and performance artist Phyllis McEwen.
When you're in the Tampa Bay area, listen to WMNF at 88.5 FM. Soundstage airs Mondays at 9pm, and the Sixty Second Radio Hour airs Wednesdays at 7:40am and Fridays at 5:20pm.
If your antenna's not that big, listen to WMNF online.
We like to eat as much as the next guy. Well, maybe not the next guy, but the one behind him in the red jacket. If you find yourself needing professional-quality writing, voice-acting, editing or sound design, drop us a line at info@radiosoundstage.com.
